MANITA STUDIO WORKS
My maternal grandmother Julia was a perpetual creator, often by necessity as the mother of seven children. She sewed, she punched tin, she baked and she probably tried many more crafts that I never knew about. My greatest inheritance from her is my natural curiosity to attempt all things artistic and handmade. I am largely self-taught in many, many mediums, with stained-glass and wood-carving being the most satisfying for my soul.
Manita, Spanish slang for “little hand“ or “little sister”, of which I am both. Art inspired by the exploration of my beloved Northern New Mexico home.
